WHat makes me an expert?Since the fall of 2010, I have begun my higher academic journey at the community college level, and during the fall of 2013, I applied to Arizona State University. During my time at ASU, I was working a retail job and I found myself unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. At the same time, I found myself getting married and having a baby. Now that I had a family, there was even more pressure to figure out what I wanted for my professional future. I kept coming back to the psychology major, and I learned so much along the way. I have learned skills to identify what feelings and emotions can do to your thought processes, how the brain stores and uses information, as well as how a difference such as gender can change how you manage and show your emotions. I have watched my parents struggle with not understanding my younger brother before, and after, he was diagnosed with ODD (Oppositional Defiance Disorder), ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), and was also placed on the Austism Spectrum. I not only have learned so much through my books and lectures, but I have had personal experience with family members who struggle with other disorders, such as depression and anxiety. I am here to try to help as much as I can, from one mother to another. I do this by using the knowledge I have gained, and communicating ways that could help.

About MeMy name is Victoria Eastham-Belman. I am 25 years-old and I am a wife, mother, daughter, and student. I will have my BA in Psychology by May of 2018. I hope to be able to integrate what I have learned at Arizona State University and my own personal experiences to help others find some ways to reduce stress and bring comfort through the little things. I do my best to "live life simply".

Psychology Made Simple:

Simple advice for complicated problems
Mom's have the amazing opportunity to create life and happiness for their significant others and, above all, their children. Sometimes, it is hard to find a moment of peace and quiet in a world full of chaos. Problems arise at a moment's notice. The baby won't sleep, the laundry is piling high, bills need to be paid, and, on top of that, there is more work on your calendar than you care to admit. This is a place to try to find answers to some of life's complicated problems, and a community to help you without judgement (trust me, we've all been there).
